Pontiac G3 :

The 2009 Pontiac G3 will be available in the US starting with spring 2009 as a 2009 model and will be backed by GM’s five-year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty.

The new G3 looks like the new Aveo5 hatchback and even includes the silly vent in the front fender (just like the Chevy). The change from Chevrolet to Pontiac was made by grafting on a Pontiac dual-port grille in place of the Chevy "bow tie," swapping out the badges, and altering bits of interior trim. The 2009 Pontiac G3 is built in South Korea by GM Daewoo alongside the two Aveo models.

The 2009 Pontiac G3 is a new entry-level vehicle for the U.S. market from this General Motors division. This subcompact car slots below Pontiac's G5, sharing its basic design and powertrain with the Chevrolet Aveo.

US evangelist Billy Graham's son visits North Korea :

The son of veteran U.S. evangelist Billy Graham arrived in North Korea on Tuesday to deliver aid to the impoverished country more than six months after the isolated regime kicked out all American humanitarian groups.

Billy Graham's family has had relations with the communist North for years. The senior Graham went to North Korea in 1992 and in 1994 at the invitation of late North Korean President Kim Il Sung, father of current leader Kim Jong Il.

The North's official Korean Central News Agency also reported on Graham's arrival Tuesday in a brief dispatch, quoting him as saying at the airport that he made the visit to "play the role of a bridge for better relations" between the two countries.

Graham leads the U.S.-based aid group Samaritan's Purse, which has provided the impoverished North with more than $10 million in aid since 1997.

Pterodactyl fossil fills gaps in evolutionary tale :

Scientists say a very rare find of some 20 fossilized pterodactyls has produced the first clear evidence of a controversial theory of evolution.

The fossils were found in north-east China earlier this year, embedded in rock dating back 160 million years, and have been called "Darwinopterus" after the renowned naturalist Charles Darwin.

The creature's discovery has astounded scientists because their age puts them within two recognized groups of pterodactyls -- primitive long-tailed forms and advanced short-tail forms -- and they display characteristics of both.

The combination of features indicates that the primitive pterodactyls evolved relatively quickly, and that certain groups of features changed at the same time.

Polanski trying to finish 'Ghost' in jail :

Director Roman Polanski is continuing to work on his film "The Ghost" from his jail cell in Switzerland and expects to deliver it on time before the end of the year.

Swiss authorities arrested Polanski, 76, on a U.S. warrant stemming from his 1977 charge of having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl. The director fled the U.S. in 1978, fearing the judge was going to toss out a plea bargain and send him to prison for up to 50 years. He has remained in France ever since, refusing even to fly to L.A. to receive his best director Oscar for "The Pianist" in 2003.

"The Ghost" is the story of a former British Prime Minister, played by Pierce Brosnan, who is accused of war crimes. Ewan McGregor plays a ghostwriter who uncovers his dark secret after he is hired to complete the Prime Minister's memoirs.

Cyrus said that she needs to step away from Twitter so that she can separate her personal and professional lives and distance herself from the “negativity” the Internet makes “so available.”

Cuba Won't Let Blogger Travel To U.s :

A Cuban blogger who has criticized her government has been denied permission to travel to New York to pick up a prestigious journalism award

Yoani Sanchez had hoped to go to Columbia University for a Wednesday ceremony to receive her Maria Moors Cabot Prize, the oldest international award in journalism.

In May, Cuban authorities denied Sanchez permission to fly to Madrid to accept the Ortega y Gasset Prize in digital journalism for creating Generation Y, which gets more than 1 million hits a month. Around the same time, Time magazine deemed Sanchez one of the world's 100 most influential people.

Her commentaries shed light on taboo topics such as harassment and the thriving black market. And she is openly critical of the government. In one recent entry, she complained she can't find detergent in stores despite warnings about the spread of H1N1 flu.

Guthrie director takes spotlight in 'Faith Healer' :

Dowling had directed "Faith Healer" many times but never acted in it. He said he thought he would never do the play again after the death 10 years ago of Irish actor Donal McCann, whom Dowling had directed in the title role of Frank Hardy, the huckster who actually may be a healer.

Dowling makes his American acting debut as the title character — an itinerant Irish miracle-worker — in Brian Friel's "Faith Healer.

"Faith Healer" was a flop when it debuted on Broadway in 1979, with James Mason in the starring role. But a 2006 Broadway revival with Ralph Fiennes as Frank Hardy was a success. The three-character drama is a set of monologues by Hardy, his wife Grace and talent manager Teddy as they each give their version of the stillbirth of Grace's baby.

Eric Mabius Reveals His Thoughts on a Daniel-Betty Relationship :

The Season 3 finale of Ugly Betty wasn't kind to Daniel Meade: His new bride, Molly, died of cancer. Eric Mabius, who plays the grieving editor-in-chief of Mode, explains how Daniel is coping with his loss, how he ends up involved in a cult and whether he thinks Daniel and Betty will ultimately be together.

Eric Mabius to TVGuide.com :
""Daniel is kind of losing it this season. There's a bunch of funny stuff that happens, but it's sad at the same time. For quite a few episodes, we see him lost and sort of little boy-like. He's grasping at straws, and he's having serious anger issues, which he's trying to get a handle on. Daniel's lost because this was the first mature love of his life. He's completely not over Molly and doesn't know how to process it.""
